1. What is XL?
XL stands for Extraordinary Lives. The XL Results Foundation was founded in 2002 by Roger Hamilton and Dave Rogers as a global network of entrepreneurs dedicated to World Wide Wealth – to collectively increase our power to create and contribute wealth. The organization has grown into the largest and most vibrant social entrepreneur network in the world with over 2,000 events scheduled in over 50 cities in 2008. Along the way, XL Group was launched as the holding company to support the rapid growth of the many dimensions in XL.
2. How many companies are in XL Group?
At the beginning of 2008 there were 12 companies with combine revenues of over $20 million. Each company is run as a social enterprise, with 10% of profits donated to nominated causes. These companies include XL Results Foundation (which manages our membership programme through three regional companies in Asia, Europe and USA), XL Media (which manages XL Magazine, XL Radio and XLTV), XL Events, XL Property, XL Finance, XL Preschool, XL Café, XL Vision Villas, Wealth Dynamics and XL Group. The mission of the group is encapsulated in our XL2020 Vision.
3. What is the XL2020 Vision?
We describe our vision for the year 2020 in some detail. It includes a network of entrepreneurs spanning 150 cities, meeting regularly to learn fully, earn fully, live fully, and give fully. As a global community exchanging ideas, resources and connections, we become a force for effective giving. You’ll find various other components within our XL2020 Vision, such as being a self-financed network, utilizing Wealth Dynamics as a common language for following our flow and measurable giving through the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation (SEA) Programme. www.worldwidewealth.org
4. Can anyone join the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation Programme?
Yes. Joining is free of charge and open to any social enterprise. The XL SEA Programme is the first formalized, global, accreditation programme for social enterprises. You will find the registration forms online along with our XL SEA City Rankings. We ask all participating enterprises to commit to at least 10% of profits flowing to a nominated cause, and for each social enterprise to pledge the size of their giving to that nominated cause. 5. Do I need to pay to be part of XL?
No. Not only is joining the XL Social Enterprise Accreditation Programme free of charge, but so is access to the many of the resources within XL. You can subscribe to our regular newsletter, listen to XL Radio, stay in touch with XL articles and updates via our website, and join various charity drives and programmes at no cost. Higher levels of participation do have a cost, ranging from subscription to the magazine to taking your Wealth Dynamics Profile, attending XL Events and joining our membership.
6. What is the Wealth Dynamics Profile?
The Wealth Dynamics Profile is a widely-used profiling system for entrepreneurs and teams to identify their most natural and effective path to greater wealth creation and contribution. Developed by Roger Hamilton, it provides clarity to finding your flow. It also provides a common language for entrepreneurs to connect and work together effectively in their enterprises and at our events.
7. What kind of Events does XL run?
In every country where XL has a leadership team we run monthly momentum sessions with fantastic speakers. We also run larger two day events called Shift Programmes. XL Events runs signature programmes including Roger Hamilton’s Wealth Dynamics Experience the Entrepreneur Business School and the new Your Life Your Legacy. In the last 12 months, XL has also partnered or supported various events by world class speakers such as Deepak Chopra, Brian Tracy, Mark Victor Hansen, John Demartini, with our XL Life Members receiving privileges or discounts to attend. In 2008 our XL Life Members and XL Circle Members benefit from over $20,000 of discounts on a wide range of events and enterprise services globally.
8. Who are XL Circle Members?
XL Circle Membership was launched by XL Results Foundation in January 2008. XL Circle Members commit to a code of conduct for a three year period in which they tap into the flow of events and resources within the XL global community. This membership includes access to entrepreneur events, $80,000 of privileges and discounted resources. Membership also leads to connection to all other members globally along with our shared resources, opportunities exchange, magazine subscription, and a variety of other benefits specifically designed to accelerate your path to creating and contributing more. The total price of the three year XL Circle Membership at January 2008 was US$4,500. XL Circle Membership allows you to harness the power of the global community that our XL Life Members have created.
9. Who are XL Life Members?
While XL Circle Members ‘rent’ their space within XL, our XL Life Members ‘own’ their space. Launched in 2002, we now have over 2800 XL Life Members in cities throughout the world. Every XL business, country, city and event was launched by an XL Life Member. XL Life Membership is by invitation and subject to an annual quota. While XL Circle Members have a three year membership, XL Life Membership lasts for life. It is also transferable, so should a Life Member choose to exit, they can transfer their membership to a third party and recoup or profit from their initial investment. The price of XL Life Membership has grown every year, beginning at US$2,500 in 2002 and increasing to over US$9,000 in January 2008. XL Life Members receive all the benefits of XL Circle Members for life in addition to many leadership and earning opportunities.
10. What is the main difference between these XL Memberships?
XL Life Members have a stake holding in the XL Community that they want to protect and grow. With a transferable asset that lasts for life, the level of trust and participation tends to be higher. If XL were a virtual nation, our subscribers and customers would be short-term visitors, XL Circle Members would be residents on longer-term visas, and our XL Life Members would be our citizens for life. The growth of XL can be credited to these citizens, who have the opportunity to step into positions of responsibility and leadership in our journey towards the XL2020 Vision.
11. What leadership positions are available in XL?
The leadership positions within XL available to XL Life Members include City and Country leadership, Wealth Dynamics Master Practitioners, and the opportunity to be an XL Speaker, Presenter, Writer, World Wide Wealth Ambassador. As an XL Life Member you can grow your own initiative globally as an XL Programme. All XL companies have also been launched and run by XL Life Members who have stepped forward at the right time. All franchisees within XL franchises such as XL Café and XL Preschool and all investor groups within XL Property and XL Finance are also XL Life Members.
12. How do I join XL?
All XL Members have joined through word-of-mouth and referral. To join XL, connect with a trusted XL Life Member or XL Circle Member and they will let us know you are interested in joining. In every XL City there is an XL City Leader who you can meet, so that you can learn more about XL and we can learn more about you.
